I was born in Vermillion, but grew up and graduated from high school in Northfield, Minnesota. I attended USD for 2 years, but had to complete my education at the U of Minnesota, as USD did not then have a major in anthropology. I was in trust and investment banking for 35 years, first for a large national bank and then a private bank in Minneapolis. I “retired” 10 years ago and my husband I moved to Vermillion where I took a position at the USD Foundation and am now senior director of planned giving. In addition to my service on the VPSF board I have worked with Heartland Humane Society, Dakota Hospital Foundation and the foundation for the SD Conference of the United Church of Christ. My husband is Doug and we currently have two cats Charlie and Emmy Kia.
